1. Agreement

Welcome to LumiClip. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the LumiClip website, web app, APIs, and anything else we make available (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. If you're using the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know immediately if you notice unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the platform at risk.

4. Your content

Anything you upload, paste, or generate through LumiClip — source videos, transcripts, clips, presets, thumbnails — is your content. You keep ownership. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, transcode, and display that content strictly so we can run the Services for you.

You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload, including any music, footage, and third-party material it contains. You're solely responsible for how the resulting clips are used and published.

5. What you may not do

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, violent, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates someone's privacy.
  • Use the Services to impersonate real people, generate non-consensual likenesses, or run targeted harassment campaigns.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or try to extract model weights, prompts, or training data from the platform.
  • Bypass rate limits, quotas, billing, or access controls.
  • Resell, sublicense, or wrap the Services as your own product without a written agreement.

6. Plans, credits, and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. Credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over unless the plan says otherwise. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to your next renewal.

You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund partial periods unless required by law.

7. AI-generated output

LumiClip uses machine learning models. Outputs can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or include artefacts. You are responsible for reviewing clips, captions, and metadata before publishing them. Don't rely on LumiClip output for anything where an error would cause real harm (medical, legal, financial decisions).

8. Our IP

The LumiClip name, logo, UI, and the software behind the Services are owned by us. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or source code beyond using the Services as described.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time and delete your account from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing to serve you would put other users or the platform at risk.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LumiClip's total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amounts you paid LumiClip in the 12 months before the claim. LumiClip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If changes are material, we'll give you reasonable notice — usually by email and a banner in the app — before they take effect.
